The UTUT team is comprised of Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts, a Speech & Language Pathologist, Ontario Certified Teachers, Early Childhood Educators, and Instructor Therapists.
All team members are extensively trained in the principles and practices of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Verbal Behaviour, Precision Teaching, and Direct Instruction. Our collaborative, team-based approach ensures a holistic and tailored experience that meets the unique needs of each learner.
Executive Director & Clinical Supervisor
Lolly Herman founded Under the Umbrella Tree Educational Services, Inc. in 2002. Lolly has an immense passion for working with children with Autism and other developmental disabilities. She has a talent for breaking through to the most hard to reach child. Lolly never gives up and she truly believes that every child has the potential and ability to reach their personal best. Lolly incorporates Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT), Verbal Behavior (VB), Direct Instruction (DI) and Precision Teaching (PT) into her programming. She obtained her Bachelors of Education at York University and is an Ontario Certified Teacher in good standing. She also obtained her BCaBA (voluntary inactive) through the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board.
EDd. R.B.A (Ont.), BCBA
Kelly Alves, UTUT's Consulting Registered Behavior Analyst (RBA), has over 20 years of experience in community-based programs for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She holds a doctorate in Education, is in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, and teaches in Seneca College's Behavioural Science Diploma Program.
Director of Operations
Nathalie has been with UTUT since 2007. Nathalie first came to UTUT as a client in 2002 with her eldest daughter. Lolly Herman felt that Nathalie’s wealth of knowledge in the field combined with her passion and drive to help children would be an asset to the company. Nathalie has guided and advocated on behalf of countless families who turn to UTUT as primary resource for their children. Her success in obtaining government funding for programs, her high level connections with Occupational Therapists (OT) and Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) in the GTA combined with her intimate understanding of the emotional journey the parents must travel make her an unique asset acknowledged by clients and staff alike.
Senior Program Manager
Michelle, the Senior Program Manager at UTUT, oversees the Supervised Senior Therapists and acts as the primary liaison with the Supervising Registered Behavior Analyst (RBA). With over 14 years of experience developing individualized programming and working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), she is a long-standing team member at UTUT. Michelle holds a Master of Arts in Education, holds the BCaBA credential (voluntary inactive) and has completed graduate-level coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis.

The Speech and Language Associates of Toronto
The vision of SLAT is to ensure collaboration, competence and an overall holistic view of each and every client. The clients are of utmost importance, and together with the client and their families, we, at SLAT, strive to build a love of communication.
They support our families, collaboratively in different areas of growth and development providing Speech Language Pathology therapy.
M.A., OCT, BCBA
Cori supervises and trains senior therapists who are studying for their BCBA or BCaBA accreditation. She joined UTUT’s team in 2006 and has over 15 years of experience working with children. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Physical Health and Education (she knows how to get kids hopping) from the University of Toronto, and her Masters degree in Child Study and Education from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education, at the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, Behaviour Analyst Certification Board, Ontario Associate for Behaviour Analysis, and Association for Behaviour Analysis International.
