The Academy

Group Learning

Welcome to the Academy at Under the Umbrella Tree, where your child’s academic potential is nurtured through a thoughtfully designed classroom program that fosters essential group skills. Guided by a modified Ontario Curriculum and the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis, our students engage in structured routines that enhance social, communication, and cognitive development. This approach ensures that each child masters both independent and functional daily school routines, preparing them for success in their educational journey and beyond.

We offer flexible learning options, including full-time placement as well as part-time (AM or PM) schedules, to support integration into other learning environments and accommodate individual needs. Our goal is to empower every student, equipping them with the skills and confidence to thrive both academically and in life.

Entry to School

The Entry to School program is ideal for early learners in the preschool to Kindergarten age range who are entering the classroom environment for the first time. It focuses on the essential skills needed to manage self-regulation and routines effectively in a small group setting.

Classes maintain a small group ratio to allow behaviour therapists to spend 1-1 time with students throughout the day to work on specific goals.
